Thousands of children have learned that science is exciting and fun at our week long learning adventures. Kids can stretch their minds and stretch their legs during fun activities at the University of North Texas- Elm Fork Education Center.

General Information
Camp Enrollment: EFEC offers 16 themed, weeklong camps during June and July. Enrollment is limited to 25 children. For the safety of our campers, and in the interest of age level appropriateness, grade completion requirements must be observed to ensure the best possible experience for all campers. Campers can be registered for summer 2017 starting March 20, 2017 using the online registration form at www.efec.unt.edu or in person at the Elm Fork Education Center.

Instructors: Our instructors include professionals, UNT graduates, and undergraduate students. All instructors are experienced in education and/or science. Volunteers and Jr. Volunteers provide additional support. All campers receive the personal attention they need.

Camp Hours & Location: Each weeklong camp starts Monday and ends Friday. Camp hours are 8:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. However, campers may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 12:30 p.m. unless arrangements have been made to participate in Full Day Discovery Camp. All camps will begin and end at the Elm Fork Education Center located at the Environmental Education, Science and Technology Building, on the UNT campus. Middles school camps will all include field work at off campus sites requiring us to travel by bus.

Afternoon Discovery Camp: In addition to our regular half day camp, we now offer an afternoon Discovery Camp. Discovery Camp meets from 12 noon to as late as 6 pm daily Monday through Friday. The Discovery Camp will be staffed by UNT students and will be centered in the Eagle Exhibit Hall at the Elm Fork Education Center. Discovery Camp is recreational in focus and will include trips to the Recreation Center, Denton Civic Center pool and other off campus sites. This program must have a minimum of 20 students to make, maximum of 40.
