2020-21 Home School Science Labs: EARTH and ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE (fall 2020) & AQUATIC and MARINE SCIENCE (spring 2021)!
Home School Science Labs are a hybrid series of home, lab, and field experiences for students ages 8-18. The labs are considered the practical application of the science concepts presented each week through a prelab virtual package containing reading and other activities for home study.
Lab sessions are offered both on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Elm Fork Education Center in the Environmental Science building at UNT. Preferred lab level and session day will be chosen at the time of registration. Labs may be presented virtually dependent upon UNT policy on hosting of community-based activities due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. Determination to be made by September 1, 2020. If onsite lab options are allowed, it will be with the COVID-19 safety guidance in effect as of September 1, 2020.
Fall semester labs for Earth and Environmental Science will begin on Tuesday, September 8, or Wednesday, September 9. Fall labs will conclude November 24 or 25. The spring semester labs in Aquatic and Marine Science will start on Tuesday, February 2 or 3, and will conclude April 27 or 28, with no lab meetings during UNT spring break in March.
Registration will open on Monday, August 3, 2020. Tuition payment will not be due until the second week of labs.
